This course focuses on microbiological testing of water in compliance with the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water (PNSDW) 2017. Participants will learn proper sampling techniques, storage, transport, and preservation of water samples, as well as standard laboratory methods for detecting coliforms and heterotrophic bacteria. The program includes interpretation of results and quality assurance practices to ensure accurate and reliable testing.

Cathy holds a BS Biology major in Microbiology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. She brings over eight years of hands-on experience in microbiological laboratory setup for manufacturing companies, both locally and internationally. In addition, she has several years of experience in Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Currently, Catherine serves as the Microbiologist for NASAT Labs Water and Environmental Testing Division, where she applies her expertise to uphold the highest standards in water testing and analysis.
