NASAT Labs’ Science & Technology on Wheels (SToW) continued its journey north with its 8th stop at Pampanga State Agricultural University! The program featured engaging discussions on nanotechnology and several analytical techniques used in material and chemical analysis such as Scanning Electron Microscopy & Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM‑EDX), X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy (XRF), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), as well as plant physiological assessment and photosynthesis techniques used in agricultural research. Interactive quizzes were also conducted, keeping the discussions engaging!
Hands‑on demonstrations allowed students and faculty to observe actual samples under the SEM, including a closer look at a leaf stomata. Also demonstrated are photosynthesis measurement techniques used in evaluating plant performance. The activities provided a practical perspective on how these analyses support scientific research and crop studies.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Pampanga State Agricultural University community for the warm welcome and enthusiastic participation!
Science and Technology on Wheels continues its mission to share knowledge and spark deeper passion for science and engineering through interactive lectures and engagement with cutting-edge laboratory technologies.
