On September 30, 2024, NASAT Labs brought Science and Technology on Wheels (STOW) to Cavite State University – Don Severino Delas Alas Campus for its fifth stop. The event was held in celebration of CvSU’s commitment to science and innovation, and featured a full day of learning and engagement.
One of the highlights was a lecture on metal 3D printing delivered by esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Clodualdo Aranas, a DOST Balik Scientist, CvSU high school alumnus, and Director of the Alloy Design and Materials Testing Research Laboratory (AD-MTRL) at the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Students and faculty also explored topics such as nanotechnology, advanced water analysis techniques, materials science, and emerging technologies.
Hands-on demos with instruments like the Hitachi Scanning Electron Microscope, HORIBA XRF Analyzer, Auto Titrator, and LI-COR Photosynthesis System gave students a closer look at how these tools are used in scientific and industrial applications. Science quizzes and open discussions added a fun and interactive element to the day.
We’d like to thank the CvSU community for the warm welcome and enthusiastic participation. It was a pleasure to connect with students and faculty in such a vibrant learning environment.
STOW continues to visit schools and institutions across the country. If you’re interested in bringing STOW to your campus or collaborating with NASAT Labs, feel free to contact us or follow us on social media for updates.
