Review the fundamentals of chromatography, understand key factors affecting HPLC separations, identify different liquid chromatography types, and learn to select appropriate elution methods for analysis.
Environmental Training
Water Sampling for Drinking Water and Wastewater (WAT102)
The Training Course on Water Sampling is a one-day seminar which deals with the requirements and procedures on water sampling in compliance with the regulatory requirements and standard methods.
Quality Control Charting in Laboratories (QAC104)
The Quality Control Charting is a one-day seminar under the “QA/QC in Chemical Laboratories” series which uses the approach of using quality control charts for the assessment of the operations and processes in the laboratory through statistical and graphical representations.
Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS101)
Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS101) introduces you to precise elemental analysis using atomic absorption techniques. This course teaches you how to accurately measure metal concentrations in various samples through flame and graphite furnace methods. AAS is essential for trace metal detection in environmental, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications.
Water Analysis Techniques (WAT101)
Water Analysis Techniques (WAT101) will discuss an overview of the clean water act and other administrative orders by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) regarding water quality criteria and approved methods of analysis. It will tackle proper sample collection technique, water sample storage, transportation, and preservation per water quality parameters as approved by the Philippines’ standards.
Water Analysis Techniques (WAT101) will also discuss the principles of the analysis of wastewater in pH, dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, color, total suspended solids, oil and grease, inorganic phosphates, nitrates, and ammonia, using the approved methods set by the DENR. It will also discuss the different water quality parameters’ correlation with each other and their effects on the ecology of our water systems.

RoHS Legislation, Methods of Analysis and Testing (ROH101)
RoHS Legislation, Methods of Analysis, and Testing (ROH101) provides an overview of the requirements of RoHS and WEEE directives. It covers the acceptable methods of analysis and a brief background of ICP-OES, GC-MS, and UV-Vis. The theory and hands-on exercise on the operation of XRF as a current popular method for RoHS screening will also be covered. At this stage, the participant can bring their own sample for testing.
